Who Is This Guy?

Hi, I'm David Black, the owner and chief crazy of this site. I'm currently employed as a software engineer in lovely, er, beautiful, um, crowded, yeah, crowded silicon valley. Here, like hundreds of thousands of others, I slave away daily in a miniature cubicle at my office on silly new tech of all kinds, returning to my plywood shanty every evening to unwind and catch some sleep.

So What Do You Do?

At the moment, I work for the all-powerful Steve Jobs at Apple Computer. More specifically, I work on the Final Cut Pro team, of which I've been a member for the last 3 years. Before that I worked with a whole gaggle of friends on computer games down in southern California.

Working On Anything Cool?

Like any self-respecting geek, I do have several personal projects going for various geeky pieces of tech. Unfortunately, I seem to be just slightly ahead of my time, giving me this inexplicable facination with living on the bleeding edge of technology. VACATION!!!

Y2K, it came, it went, and the world survived intact. I spent the last days of the millenium in Tokyo with 3 of my closest friends. You get an idea of what we did here. (Still need to update this page with the events of the latter half of our trip however)
